PLACES OF INTEREST.

The scenic charm of Alaro invites the hikers. Noted for their tradition, trips to the Castle of Alaro, which can be reached on foot from the Alaró and its top are remnants of the Christian defense of this key site and remains of cisterns Muslims, and the East (which belongs to Bunyola) by the call S'Escaleta step. Other interesting excursions include the Mount of Clot d'S'Alcadena and almonds that near Lloseta, is one of the most beautiful places in the municipality.

Finally noting that in ALARÓ Castle rooms are also available as accommodation. Alaró was the first municipality in Mallorca which provided electricity. The power station was inaugurated on August 15, 1901 and the promoters would Gaspar Brothers and Josep Perelló Pol From Power Plant which is the only civilian Alaró monument, left few traces. It has now been restored and the monument was inaugurated on 15 August 2001. The year 2001 marked the centenary of electricity with a comprehensive program that began in January 2001 and ended in June 2002.
